Missed Class Policies for Children's and Adult Classes
At Tinker, we enjoy providing high quality classes and instructors for adults and children. Each class requires a minimum number of students enrolled to ensure adequate accommodations for teachers and materials. Additionally, we hold your spot for you while we might have others on our wait list for the class, and also secure appropriate staffing for the number of students enrolled. As we make decisions regarding classes based on a variety of factors, including the number of students enrolled, we are unable to offer make-up classes, credits, or refunds for classes missed.

Missed Class Policy for Children's Class Sessions
We cannot offer refunds, credits, or make up classes for missed classes during our children's class sessions. Due to Tinker’s full class schedule, we are not able to provide you with make-up time in the studio and our teachers cannot provide individual lessons for classes missed. Hopefully your child can attend all classes in the session, but when absences occur we will do our best to get them caught up with the project(s) during future classes. Please note that it is not always possible to make up projects due to specialized materials (clay, for example) or techniques taught during the class. If the materials are available and lend themselves well to creating art at home, we will do our best send your child home with materials to complete the project on their own.
Missed Class Policy for Tuesday Tinker Time
What happens if I need to cancel or change my Tuesday Tinker Time class?
- Cancellations or class changes, submitted via email to ANIKA@TINKERARTSTUDIO.COM, by 12pm the Friday before your Tinker Time class will be 50% refunded:
- $6 will be refunded if paying hourly OR 1/2 hour will be marked off if you have a card on file
- Cancellations or requested class changes after 12pm the Friday before your Tinker Time class will not be refunded and full payment of the class is forfeited:
- non-refundable charge of $12/child OR 1 hour marked off on your card
- Missed Classes are considered a cancellation and no refund or class change will be issued.
Missed Class Policy for School Day Off and Holiday Camps
School Day Off and Holiday Camps generally fill up with wait lists. We do our best to accommodate any special needs of your family. However we cannot prorate your camp based on the number of days your child attends. Camps are intended for the child to be present during all the days/hours of the specific camp you have signed up for. The non-refundable deposit amount is the same as the class materials fee. In the event of a cancellation, the class tuition (minus the non-refundable deposit) will be refunded in full up to 10 days prior to the start of class. Cancellations must be received in writing, via email, up to 10 days prior to the first class. Cancellations within 10 days of the class start date will not be refunded or credited towards another class. Additionally, any classes missed during the session, will not be refunded and make up classes are not offered.
Missed Class Policy for Adult Class Sessions
We cannot offer refunds, credits, or make up classes for missed classes during our adult class sessions. Due to Tinker’s full class schedule, our teachers cannot provide individual lessons for classes missed. We can offer for you to come in during one of our Open Access classes on Thursday evenings to have make-up time in the studio. Your attendance at Open Access is completely independent (no teacher instruction) and must be completed during the same session that you are currently enrolled in another class.
