Tinker Time Art & Play Party

for ages 3 - 5

Join us for a special celebration for your 3 or 4 year old! Our Tinker Time party is a perfect mix of open ended art, sensory play, and creating in community. Upon arrival, we have your stations all set up for you to enjoy open-ended art & play time throughout your party. Children and their grown ups will move freely around the studio painting a giant cardboard cake, coloring a custom birthday banner, playing in our themed sensory tables and themed sensory trays, and visiting an animal paint-and-wash station. All party-goers will also have the opportunity to create a collage using glue and a buffet of mixed media materials on an 8”x10” stretched canvas to bring home!

This is our only party option for 3 year olds. We love this party and have developed it specifically for our youngest tinkerers! Remember, we ask that a grown up attends with each child who is excited to support them in their art-making.

Small Worlds

Create a miniature world of your very own! Choose from four themes — Fairy Garden, Cat’s Playground, Unicorn Island, or Dinoland — then join us in the studio and get ready for an unforgettable party! Homemade playdough in custom colors, a buffet of exciting accessories, and even a special figurine for continued imaginative play accompany each theme. Party-goers will enjoy limitless possibilities in constructing their small world, ready to take home and enjoy for lots more play!

Upon arrival, guests will be greeted with sensory play tables (ages 7 & under) or a painting station (ages 8 & up), a custom birthday banner to decorate for the birthday-kid, and a giant cardboard cake to paint before we dive into making our Small Worlds. Ages 4-12*

*Children under 5 should be accompanied by an adult ready to support them in their art-making.

Puppy Party

Adopt a puppy!!!!! (Don’t worry, it’s a stuffy ;) After choosing their perfect pup, each party goer will make a puppy dog house for their new pet! This is a super fun party project that we know your birthday-kid and their friends will love! 🐶

Upon arrival, guests will be greeted with sensory play tables (ages 7 & under) or a painting station (ages 8 & up), a custom birthday banner to decorate for the birthday-kid, and a giant cardboard cake to paint, before we dive into making our puppy dog houses. Ages 5-12

Stuffy Sleeping Bags

During this awesome party, kids will sew and embellish their own custom sleeping bag for their favorite stuffy! After learning the running stitch, party-goers will sew a felt sleeping bag, and then use gems and fabric markers to customize and decorate their new sleeping bag. Stuffies (reasonably sized ;) are welcome at this party if you’d like to invite them too!

Upon arrival, guests will be greeted with sensory play tables (ages 7 & under) or a painting station (ages 8 & up), a custom birthday banner to decorate for the birthday-kid, and a giant cardboard cake to paint, before we dive into making our stuffy sleeping bags. Ages 6-12

Unicorn Horns

Do you love Unicorns?! We do too!! During this amazing party, each party-goer will use colorful air dry clay to create a fully customized wearable unicorn horn! While the horns need to dry overnight at home before they can be worn, popping them on briefly before everyone goes home makes the best photo op! No one will want to miss this magical party ✨

Upon arrival, guests will be greeted with sensory play tables (ages 7 & under) or a painting station (ages 8 & up), a custom birthday banner to decorate for the birthday-kid, and a giant cardboard cake to paint, before we dive into making our unicorn horns. Ages 5-12

Giant Rainbow Party

Join us for a colorful celebration creating an extra large gorgeous rainbow using paints, a buffet of bright pieces, and glue to build the perfect rainbow! Bring your artwork home to hang on the wall and spread rainbowy-goodness year round. 🌈

*Children under 5 should be accompanied by an adult ready to support them in their art-making.

Tiny Houses

Create your own dream bedroom with our tiny house party! After reading one of our favorite stories, If I Built a House, to inspire our artwork, we’ll spend a super fun party building triple decker bunk beds, hammocks, balcony swimming pools, and don’t forget a ladder entrance! With a buffet of supplies, strong glue, and plenty of creativity, this party is an absolute blast.

Rainbow Milkshakes

Thirsty anyone?! This awesome party project option will have all of your guests delighting in rainbow-party-goodness as they pour bright and colorful layers upon layers to build a milkshake sculpture! Top off your milkshake with goodies from our sprinkle buffet, before making clay cherries and popping in a paper straw for the full effect. Don’t forget to give your milkshake a custom, catchy name!

Magic Wands

Abracadabra Alakazam — magicians, fairies, witches, and wizards unite! Grab all your friends and make magic wands for your special day! Using paints, jewels, and ribbons, party-goers will put magic into their own paper mache star wand with bright neon paints, jewels, and ribbons. What spells will you cast?!

MASK MAKING

Masks are truly a blast to make, with endless possibilities! Using paper mache mask forms, party-goers will bring a character to life with paints, jewels, and feathers. This party is a fantastic option for all ages as older artists can develop elaborate design ideas, while younger artists enjoy the open-ended process of painting and wearing their masks. Who will you become?

Treasure Boxes

Make your very own treasure box that even pirates would delight for! Using paints and gems, party-goers will decorate their metal clasped wooden boxes to look like real treasure chests. Every attendee will leave with a special place for their most treasured items — we’ll even start you out with a pirate coin!

Beautiful Birdhouses

Tweet tweet! Paint and personalize your very own wooden birdhouse! Using paints and acrylics gems, party-goers can choose from a rainbow of colors to add vibrant details to their birdhouse. This sweet house can become home to a bird, or even your favorite imaginary creature… a baby dragon maybe? Or a special place for fairies to camp out!

Jewelry Boxes

This fun art party is perfect for jewelry loving party goers! Paint and decorate a gorgeous metal clasped wooden box to keep all your jewelry or other special items in. While the paint dries, we’ll even have a chance to make a beaded necklace ready to wear home!

ANIMAL PAINT: A CANVAS PAINTING PARTY

party is only available on Fridays. This party does not include any pre-project stations as described in “the party” section above.

Look through the photos above, and pick your favorite animal to create a canvas painting of! Then get ready for a fantastic painting party in the art studio. Party-goers will each paint a 12”x16” acrylic on canvas masterpiece to take home.

This party does not include our sensory tables/painting tables, custom birthday banner, and giant cardboard cake painting. Instead, we’ll spend our full hour of art making painting our canvases! Ages 8-12

I struggled a bit as we live in Thornton and I didn't want to pressure our friends into a drive but it was well worth it. Masks: Masks are currently optional in our studio. As Birthday Parties are private events, you are welcome to ask your guests to wear a mask. At this time, we are requiring our youth staff to continue masking, so we will be masked regardless of if your party is a “masks” or “no masks” party. We ask that you request/require/enforce any mask policy if you wish you have one in place, as Tinker staff members will not be responsible for enforcing a mask policy for your guests. Please reach out with any questions!
Please do not attend if you or anyone in your household is or has recently been sick. We kindly ask the same of your guests. Thank you for supporting the health and safety of our studio, staff, students, and community.
Diligent cleaning and sanitation is in place throughout the studio.
A large portable HEPA air filter purifies the air in our entire studio every 30 minutes.
