Teen Paint & Draw
Ages: 13–17
In this class, students explore drawing and painting techniques using materials like pencils, charcoal, pastels, watercolor, and acrylics. You'll learn core concepts such as shading, proportion, composition, and perspective, while also shaping the direction of the class through your own interests. Each semester is a little different—designed around the group—so returning students keep growing. All levels welcome! -

Teen Digital Art
Ages: 13–17
Explore the world of digital illustration using tablets and styluses in this dynamic, skill-building class. You'll learn how to use digital tools to layer, blend, and experiment with line, texture, and color—while also focusing on foundational art skills like composition, value, and tone. Whether you're new to digital art or ready to take your work to the next level, this class is the perfect space to create, experiment, and grow as an artist. -

Teen Wheel Throwing
Ages: 13–17
This hands-on ceramics class teaches teens the fundamentals of wheel throwing, including centering clay, forming shapes, and glazing. Participants create functional forms like bowls, mugs, and plates. All work will be glazed with dinnerware-safe finishes—perfect for everyday use. Pieces will be sent home throughout the semester, with final glazed work ready for pickup about two weeks after the last class. -

Teen Volunteer Assistant Program (TVAP)
In the Summer Camp season, rising 9th–12th graders may apply to join our Front Desk team and Studio Teachers to prep materials, support campers, and help keep the studio running smoothly. It’s a fun, fast-paced way to build job skills, confidence, and community.
During the school-year, we invite New Vista students to complete their Community Experience (CE) with us. We also invite other high school students to reach out if they’re interested in volunteering during the school year.
